Lovely blonde looks and a decent head. Aroma of citrus fruits and resin. Nice fruity flavours. This is an ideal thirst quencher.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Benjii (2337) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 19, 2011
On cask at Cloisters. A golden ale with a thin white head. Musty aroma of hay, cardboard, woody and grassy hops. A rubber flavour which didn’t really excite me. Also yeast and barley flavours.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 AshtonMcCobb (929) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 27, 2011
UPDATED: MAY 9, 2012 50cl bottle. Light amber ale with some bubbles and some head. The nose has pine and grapefruit which slowly opens up to give a delicate sweet maltiness. The taste is of pine and soap. The palate is full and creamy with a long refreshing finish, in fact quite balanced. This is a nice beer of which I’d be delighted to drink at least a couple. There is loads of flavour for a session-strength ale.

1st December 2010 Pigs Ear. Clear gold beer. Dry palate, low carbonation. Soggy sweet malt with a little bitter orange. Messy and a bit too much like hard work.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 8, 2010
Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival on 30 November. A fairly standard amber session bitter with a modicum of spicy hop character and light biscuity malt backing. Quite acceptable, but entirely unremarkable, although condition could have been better. There are times when a session bitter does the job but there’s not much else to say. This is one of them. Maybe something more might have emerged had it been a bit more lively.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beershine (4710) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - DEC 2, 2010
@ Malt & Hops. Gold, clear, with tight head. Wet earth and damp wood. Soft and oily palate. A slight buttery effect but not really a diacetyl issue. Juicy flowers.
