500ml bottle from Glen Park Hotel, Ayr - clear amber ale, frothy white head, orange / citrus hop aroma, the caramel malt comes through initially, but is overtaken by citrus flavour and a dry finish

50cl bottle. Pours amber with a nice sized head and steady carbonation. The nose has digestive biscuites and a gentle toffee, maybe even caramel. The taste is toffee and biscuits, in fact it is a Crunchie Bar. The palate is medium bodied with a generous, creamy texture in the middle section and a nice dry finish. Overall, this is a great bitter.

tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 1, 2011
Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in April 2010. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale orange amber with a thin white head. Orange peel evident in the short citric aroma. Thin mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malts give a marmalade, satsumas which is short in the mouth. Prickle of dry hops in the aftertaste give it a more English premium bitter style than your traditional Scottish 80/ export.. Bitter sweet finish edges on the bitter side. An ok session ale but nothing spectacular from this 4.6%

Cask at The Glen Park Hotel, site of the Ayr Brewery. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. Aroma of citric orange, bready yeast and caramel. Orange and caramel flavours also. A little dryness to finish. Mild carbonation and light bitterness. An oily mouth-feel. Nice.
