Appearance: opaque dark brown, wispy tan head,
Aroma: dark chocolate aroma with a dark caramel sweetness,
Flavor: rich chocolate flavor, touch of dry roasted malt dries out the chocolate character, light caramel sweetness brings the chocolate back out, light earthyness joins with a dark chocolate bitterness to dry it back out again at the finish, touch of stylistic sour mash character,

Dark brow pour with a fluffy tan head. Coffee on the nose. Similar flavor combined with a doughy/ bready finish

Black, tan head. Coffee-ish aroma, but a bit faint. Flavor is coffee-ish, and a touch of butter. Some burnt toast notes, too. Maybe a hint of smoke, but not a whole lot. Sampled at Brewgrass 2008.

On tap at Brewgrass. Pours a dark, dark brown with a small head. This stuff smells sweet. Yeah, lots of sugary qualities like Tootsie rolls, root beer, funky chocolate, and some thin coffee are found. The palate is semi watery. Flavors of sticky cotton candy, gas station fake cappuccino, wax chocolate, and toffee are hinted at. I was not a big fan of this one. It’s thin, yet somehow overly sweet.
