CaptainCougar (4664), Rockville, Maryland, USA Feb 15, 2008 Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a thin ring of wispy light tan head. Aroma of lightly sweet dark chocolate and some tart light fruity notes. Body starts somewhat thin for the style with decent dark chocolate flavor, but an unexpected and likely infected tartness before a drier, slightly earthy roasty and tart finish. Would be pretty good without the tartness. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jul 24, 2007 on tap @HopfestNC-pours a dissipating tan head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-caramel. Taste is medium malt-caramel/chocolate, secondary hops biterr, light/medium body. More like a thin brown ale/small beer. Suttree (2336), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Apr 23, 2007 Surprisingly light colored - like Iced Tea that had steeped too long. Milk Chocolate aroma, som whiffs of burnt toast, too. Flavors of dark chocolate and coffee and dryish finish. Nice stuff. Sampled at 2007 Hickory Hops
