Decent beer as long as you aren’t expecting any chipotle flavor. Aroma was average. Pine with notes of terpentine. Pour was a hazy light gold with a thin white film for a head. Taste was very bitter and borderline sour. Strong grapefruit rind, lemon and pine. Finish was very wet and bitter. Little to no carbonation and no hint of pepper.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2014 9/12/2014: On tap at Pizza Port. Pours a mustard yellow, with a slight head but excellent lacing. Hardly any aroma at all. Not much flavoring to it at all. The chipotle is mainly in the aftertaste. A slight sourness to it. Not very impressed. Aroma = 3, Appearance = 3, Taste = 4, Palate = 2, Overall = 5 11/9/2014: Via bottle. Pours with a huge fizzy white head with good lacing. Light malty aroma, with light hops. Interesting dough aroma from the yeast. Slight fruity aroma (apple + pear + vanilla). Lots of lemon in the aroma. Not getting any chipotle spiciness at all. Aroma = 8, Appearance = 4, Taste = 2, Palate = 1, Overall = 3

Bottle, 650ml. Clear orange/amber with loads of sediment and a magnificent creamy offwhite head. Deep floral aroma with hints of citrus zest, pine resin and licorice. Medium to heavy bodied, with moderate to high carbonation. Rich, dry and spicy, with a robust maltiness and a heavy bitterness towards the finish perfectly balanced. I could feel the sting from the chile even after the bitterness and a slight alcohol character also in the finish. An amazing beer.

Bottle, 650ml. An clear amber beer with a big creamy head, lots of sediments and beautiful lacing. Aroma is of grapefruit, orange zest, citrics and floral hops. Chipotle was nowhere to be found in the aroma. Taste is bitter, especially at the end. It also has a strong bitter aftertaste. There is some spiciness, but I couldn´t find the chipotle. Nevertheless, this a fantastic beer.

Pours an orange color with a zangy spicy Chipotle smell. Has a dry mouth feel with some hops and smokey flavors. Pretty good.

Bought this brew at a local liquor shop in San Diego. I had the fortune of drinking it on a blustering and rainy day. The beer is overall dry with hops on the nose and mild, smoky chipotle on the finish (I actually wish there was a bit more bite on the finish).

From a bottle. Pours hazy copper with an extremely foamy, frothy white. Tastes like red and green peppers, smooth, foamy malt, grains, and dry spice. Medium body and low carbonation. Smells like malt, lemony citrus, and light spice.
