4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Pacific Liquor: Created a monstrous sizing of thick frothy foam head which left behind tons of sticky lacing down my glass. Liquid was a dense golden wild honey hue that seemed a tad bit murky but yet was still easily visible through. Aroma is dominated by piney and citrus like hops but a sweet scent of malts is able to come through, however, I donít notice any chipotle through my nose. The drink is smooth with a sturdy backbone of semi sweet malt that has a slight bready profile but the hops used clearly outshine anything else while a delicate notice of the chipotle finally becomes apparent. I have to say I thought Rogue Ales made the best chipotle beer I ever tasted but this could possibly rival it because of how well balanced all aspects of this beer are and how the chipotle just kisses my palate so delicately.
