3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the brewery. Clear amberish pour, with rocky off-white head. I believe this was bourbon barrel aged. Fruit, caramel sweetness, bread, light oak and vanilla barrel character, and touch of spicy yeast. An interesting twist on the dubbel style, which worked fairly well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Sublime Alehouse. Strange beer (not really Dubbel like at all). Pours with a mostly clear bronze hue with a white ring of foam. Aromas are of cinnamon, light spice, caramel, raisins, barrel, churro, ginger, dark fruits and some candy sugar notes. Apple like esters. Flavors are lightly spiced, dry, tannin, alcohol, raisins, oak, apple, baked bread and some vanillin. Lively bubbles, medium dry with some warming.
