1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2015 Maybe I got a bad bottle but I thought that this was just bad. Thin and not much flavor and what flavor there was headed in a bad direction. Maybe I need to try again as other folks liked this much better than me. Serving: Bottle

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light copper body, thin, but ok head, and lively, carbonated body. Crisp grain flavor with the smell of sweet corn as well. Crisp grain and corn flavor. Clean, refreshing, and decent flavor. A simple refreshing Eastern European lager.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Very tall head with medium to large bubbles. Dark straw colored body. Typical aroma of eastern European pilsner. Tyipical flavor of one too, on the sweet side of malt. Wouldn’t surprise me they even might have a touch of corn in there too. Slight banana in the aftertaste. Overall a nice clean taste, but nothing I’d go out of my way to get.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottle. Not an unexpected pour -- hazy pale yellow, with an initial fizz that quickly died. The aroma is not too different than corn oil. The drinks is even worse ... sweet corn, with a nasty funk of overripe fruit. Tough. (#3605, 13 July 2009)

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle. Pours a predictable gold (although slightly darker than most pale lagers) with a big fizzy head that slowly dies down. Aromas are like corn, grass and a little apple juice were all put in a blender. Flavor is pretty darn awful. Very little to offer the world here... just some washed out malty corn with a little bit of an apple-y fruitiness to it. No hops presence to speak of, no complexity, little flavor.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUL 8, 2009 From 99 Bottles of Federal Way, WA. Another purchase of a pale Euro-lager, solely to knock off Romania on the countries list. From the obligatory green bottle, I was poured a nicely clear and rich gold under a (surprise!) smallish white head. Aroma was faint, bit of citrus and what I guessed might be biscuit (I doubt it), but oddly, no hops. Taste was bland but not repulsive, mouthfeel a bit sharp, and finish was tolerable. By no means a good beer. Interesting label - is that Vlad the Impaler I see? That might account for the taste.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a golden color with a white head. Aroma is of grain and some floral hops. Flavor was actually kind of interesting. Grains at first but that gives way to some spiciness, and has a slight bitter finish.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Medium gold colored body with a long lasting white head. The aroma was grainy with come old potatoes stuck in a cellar. The taste was again grainy with a strong potato peel and bell pepper finish. Actually, there is some decent hopping in this one. Not too bad and could be a stronger session brew.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pour is a bright yellow with a large pillowy white head. Aroma is ok with lots of grain and malt. Flavor is still pale lager bland but nothing offensive. Easy to drink and when in Romania you could probably put back a few of these. $1.99 for a eastern euro pale lager? Sure i’ll bite.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This yellow lager poured with a fluffy white head and a fruity aroma. The flavor is bread and light caramel malt with some hop bitterness at the finish.
