Cask conditioned at a Spoons. Gold with white head. Quite a thin, light session bitter, malty, biscuity with a touch of caramel. Easy drinking but not in great condition here. Sweetish hoppy finish. It’s ok.

Cask in sit john moore. Aroma is pale malts, slightly sulphurus. Taste is similar balanced but sort of slipped by me without thinking about it.

A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St. ’Sporks.
Light golden brown with a bubbly but lasting head. Malt and hops balance well in the aroma but are let down by a knob of butter. Diacetyl is still there in the flavour but not as offensive as it can be. The nutty notes give it a flavour that is very close to wholemeal bread and butter. Slightly perverse but actually quite drinkable. Nasty lemon hop finish that is a bit on the thin side does it no favours unfortunately.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. The aroma ihas a little fruit, but is quite thin. The taste is fairly bitter. It’s dry and drinkable. Very sessionable.
