2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
This beverage is very much like drinking a clove cigarette mixed with cranberry juice. Some people like that sort of thing, I guess. It is purple in color and mildly carbonated. It’s bit sweet and tart and there’s a nice black currant character underneath all the cloves but there’s still all those cloves. This strikes me as more of a novelty than a quality beverage but to each their own.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A very interesting mead. Not our personal style, but unique. Pours a cherry jello red with no head. Smells of honey and blackberry. Lots of blackberry in the taste. Like blackberry soda, doesn't really taste like beer. Had on tap at taps.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Blackberry and honey nose, subtle hints of chocolate, prune, and cloves detected, vinuous. Clear maroon, dark and still, purplish. Blackberry and grape flavor, then POW a burst of clove. Tart and tangy, alcohol perceptible, but not evident, hidden within the spice. Fairly distinct transitions, awesome complexity, unique. Trippy.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
2nd mead I have ever tasted. B. Nektar is making me a huge fan. Purple-ish pour with no head. Aroma is sweetness, berries and clove. Taste is berries, orange, little clove in the finish. Sweetness base from the honey. Very enjoyable.

Pretty awesome. Blackberry works very well here. Pours hazy ruby. Taste of blackberry is big and well integrated. Nice honey. Very nice. Finishes sweet. On tap at DC Beer Festival.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The appearance had a black color with quick less than half a centimeter’s worth of head that barely lasts and what is left concaves at the edges. More than enough bubbles clinging to the sides.
The smell had blackberries, cloves and orange zest combined wonderfully,
The taste was sweet but still had a nice spicy/zestiness to make it seem balanced over the tastebuds. Sweet and spicy aftertaste and it doesn’t have any finish whatsoever.
On the palate, it wasn’t as harsh as I thought it was going to be as there’s an even somewhat smoothness invading delicately over the palate.
Overall, this is the best mead I’ve had to date, though I still don’t understand why meads are considered "beers" on this website.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark ruby pour with a 1 finger, creamy light purple head. Aroma is big on blackberry, delicate floral notes, clove spice and some perfumey floral notes. Flavor is blackberry and clove up front, then orange peel, perfumey floral notes and some light honey notes. Medium body, juicy entry, light acidity, light blanketing carbonation. The whole thing is a bit like potpourri, but in a very tasty, very enjoyable way.
