As close to perfect as any mead I’ve ever had. Maybe not traditional, but delicious.

Wonderfully cloved, a little blackberry aftertaste on the tongue. Overall a good drink. Need to try the others from B. Nektar. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a very dark ruby, almost coagulated blood in color. A small head on a vigorous pour quickly recedes. The nose is of blackberries and light spice (clove). The mouthfeel is light, as it should be, but manages to be smooth and almost slick. The flavor profile is outstanding - complex, but balanced, and bursting in flavor. It begins with a burst of sweet blackberry which rides over a honey sweetness. It then progresses to a bit of tartness over a mild clove. The finish is smooth, yet a bit dry, and leaves you with a lingering flavor that is all encompassing. Outstanding is the only way to describe this 6% sparkling mead.

Wow, what an interesting mead this is! Cinnamon and clove smell. Berry and clove taste with hibiscus tea. Odd, but oddly enjoyable!

Bottle from Peace Street. Pours purple with light carbonation. Big clove and fruit notes own the nose with the orange zest becoming prominent as it warmed. Very fruity on the tongue with a little bit of stickiness from the honey. Fishes clean. Very nice!
