COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Only 25 gallons of this Dry Tupelo Mead (Batch 44) were made on September 8, 2009. It has a delicate floral aroma and the distinctive flavor is complex yet balanced with notes of citrus, pineapple and spice. Its clean and mildly tart finish is reminiscent of a Gewurztraminer. Serve slightly chilled with your favorite exotic dish.

Bottle courtesy of Cheeseman. Pours a pale color like white grape juice. Smells exactly like fresh honeycomb. Light sweetness, honeyed, well disguised alcohol with a dry finish

Pours a very light color of yellow. Still in the glass. Aroma of mild grapes, sweet honey, with some floral notes. The flavor is very much apple nice light and sweet. Hints of earthiness hide in the back with a tinge of honey sweetness. Very wine like, with a very dry finish. Nice mead.

Pours a still light white grape juice color. Smells intensely floral and champagne like. delicate nose. there is a bit of sweetness to the smell. the taste is soft floral honey. a touch of alcohol that is masked by the sweetness. flavor is delicate but rich at the same time. after taste is of dried apple. feel is smooth and a bit dry. no alcohol to feel. overall this is a great mead and would buy more of it. This is another great welcoming to the world of mead.

375 ml bottle shared with my wife. Pours a hazy pale straw gold with no head. This is a still mead. Pleasant aroma of fairly sweet honey, slightly earthy, with some light floral notes. The flavor is mild honey again with some light earthiness but without the sweetness in the aroma. This mead dries out almost immediately on the palate and continues dry beyond the swallow. The description likens this mead to a Gewurztraminer, however, I think it drinks more like a Chablis.
