UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Bottle: crimson red color with deep ruby in the center, only a few small bubbles that disperse quickly after the pour. Aroma is full of some tart cherry juice, light honey sweetness, & another pronounced fruitiness that seems to be something of the "berry" type. Taste is similar, cherry juice hitting up front with very subtle tartness that fades into a honey glazed sweetness. Iím getting faint hints of cranberry as well. Very, very light grassy tone mid-palate from the hop addition. Sweet cherry, delicate finish. Another solid & very drinkable mead from B. Nektar.

Pours a deep and rich ruby with some burnished copper hues. Nose shows intense cherry skins and a touch of spice. Flavor dominated by cherry skins and pie cherry with some spice.

Sampled at esbls. Some red that looks like wine. A perfumy aroma. Cherries lead the flavor but with honey. Not complex. Something with a bit of zing. Hops? Tartness from the cherries. Not a great beer.

Okay, this mead is awesome, but Iím a little confused. It is made with cherries, honey, and hops, but thatís not what I tasted and smelled at all. To me, all I could taste and smell was all heavy apple cinnamon, and two different people who were there with me agreed with me 100%. I love the mead regardless, so whatever.

Pours a murky deep amber color with a bubbled off white head. Light, sticky lacing. Aroma is of honey, grass, black cherry, some earthiness and prune. Flavor is of tart cherries, the balaton cherries come through, honey, light grassy hops, and sugar. Leaves a bitter sweet finish. Slightly more on the sweeter side though.

4/6/2014. 500 ml. bottle. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aromas are tea and cherry. Light spicy flavors, lots of cherries which makes it a bit tart. A light sour finish, but so balanced. Very good.

Rosť body by the light. Floral, almost shampoo like nose. Lavender, rose and decent tang. Lovely sweetness and earnest hopiness.

On tap. Dark red in color, aroma of spices. Tart flavor. Not exactly my cup of tea.

Bottle @ The Lets do a Chris O tasting. Pours brown , big cherry aroma sweet on the nose with a slight hint of hops as well after a couple of big sniffs, also a little woody on the nose. taste wise big cherry but a wee touch of sourness on the back end, really nice.

Bottle pours a clear purplish red with small sparsely bubbly head. Aroma of sweet raw honey and tart sour cherry. Honey is sweet and spicy on the palate with some hop and tart from the cherry. Delicious and drinkable!

Poured a dark red color with aromas of honey, light hops, a touch of tartness, and some cherries. Flavors were the same, nice honey and cherry notes, a solid mead overall that could be drank all day.
