UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Bottle: crimson red color with deep ruby in the center, only a few small bubbles that disperse quickly after the pour. Aroma is full of some tart cherry juice, light honey sweetness, & another pronounced fruitiness that seems to be something of the "berry" type. Taste is similar, cherry juice hitting up front with very subtle tartness that fades into a honey glazed sweetness. I’m getting faint hints of cranberry as well. Very, very light grassy tone mid-palate from the hop addition. Sweet cherry, delicate finish. Another solid & very drinkable mead from B. Nektar.

Bottle. Heavy aroma of cherry with hints of vinegar and wood. Small fizzy pink head that quickly and completely diminishes. Color is clear burgandy. Flavor starts heavily acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter, and sour. Palate is light, watery with alively carbonation and a tart finish. Not much noticeable honey in this Mead, but plenty of sour cherry.

Aroma of cherry, and honey, red color clear with no head. Sweet taste of honey and cherries with a watery feel and a sweet finish.

Poured from a bottle. The non-mead-like appearance (dark red) gives some hint to the sharp cherry taste to come. Honestly the first mead I’d try again.

500ml bottle, acquired on an out of state trip. This is my second mead and second mead by b. nektar. Off the bat, smells of tart cherries and honey, no hop aroma. It pours a deep dark red with excelent clarity. Nice body, good balance between sweet and tart with a dryish finish. Overall good stuff and I’m enjoying it. If this was available in my market i would definetely keep some in the fridge at all times as an alternative to beer, cause I don’t drink grape wine.

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark red with an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are cherries, honey, herbs, and tea - with a slightly dry finish.

Pour on tap at the meadery, dark reddish purple pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of sour cherry, spice, yeast, hints of dark fruit, touch of wine in there as well, slight honey note. Taste is a mix of cough syrup, sweet spicy notes, some cherry, touch of honey, finishing sweet.

Red pour slight bubbles. Aromas of honey and cherries, no hops to speak of. Flavor is sweet honey and slightly tart cherries, once again no hops to speak of. Very drinkable but not nearly as complex as I was hoping for and I was slightly hummed at the lack of hops. Still, another tasty mead from B. Nektar.

Pours bright ruby into a tulip. Pink bubbles recedes to nothing. Sweet honey and cherry funk aromas. Soft and sweet with honey and deep, dark cherry upfront turning mildly bitter pit finish.
