3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Bottle: crimson red color with deep ruby in the center, only a few small bubbles that disperse quickly after the pour. Aroma is full of some tart cherry juice, light honey sweetness, & another pronounced fruitiness that seems to be something of the "berry" type. Taste is similar, cherry juice hitting up front with very subtle tartness that fades into a honey glazed sweetness. I’m getting faint hints of cranberry as well. Very, very light grassy tone mid-palate from the hop addition. Sweet cherry, delicate finish. Another solid & very drinkable mead from B. Nektar.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Heavy aroma of cherry with hints of vinegar and wood. Small fizzy pink head that quickly and completely diminishes. Color is clear burgandy. Flavor starts heavily acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and bitter, and sour. Palate is light, watery with alively carbonation and a tart finish. Not much noticeable honey in this Mead, but plenty of sour cherry.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle. The non-mead-like appearance (dark red) gives some hint to the sharp cherry taste to come. Honestly the first mead I’d try again.
