3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 12, 2014 Smell is heavy booze, moderate honey, and slight notes of bourbon barrel. Taste is heavy honey, moderate alcohol, and slight bourbon. A bit too boozy in taste and warmth, but it gets better as it warms.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle, pours a clear golden yellow with no head. Nose is super alcoholic, with loads of bourbon, vanilla and shitloads of heat. It drinks somehow easier, with loads of bourbon, vanilla, alcohol and honey. Quite hot, yet without any burning at all, full of bourbon and vanilla. Exquisite.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
(bottle - 375 ml) Clear gold pour. Honey and pear in the aroma. Flavor is outstanding. Sweet pear with a great honey undertone. Not overly sweet but really well balanced. I’d buy a lot more of it if I could find it easily.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is the original bottling of the Bourbon Barrel Aged Mead courtesy of my sister 15_2_Kuhnhenn. It pours with a deep clear copper gold body and leaves behind adequate legginess when swirled. The aroma offers pure richness of sweet honey goodness and then a thin stream of waxy honeycomb. The taste is oh so smooth and rich and yummy. I get delicious honey goodness mixed with slivers of waxy honeycomb, a spicy wood note and then faint smooth bourbon. Love it!

This was just amazing. Nose is all bourbon and the taste is mostly vanilla mead. You get a lot of barrel in this one. Only problem wa the price. $32 but I would pay it again.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Ah... Very happy to tick this one. Bottle... Poured pale, clear, golden with no head. Aroma of earthy and sweet honey. Tasted of honey and yeast with lots of sweetness and esters. Not totally heavy as I was expecting for its high abv. Tasted of vanilla and mild distilled alcohol. But overall smooth and well rounded.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by "hannont". Colour...much like an oaky Chardonnay, with no head. Nose...like sniffing a butter and honey laden biscuit (’nuf said)! Palate.. Lightly coating with honey and beeswax up front and honey-lemon Ludens at the back and a beautifully lingering clover honey like flavour in the finish

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of booze with sweet honey, bourbon and vanilla. Flavor has sweet honey throughout with a growing vanilla note and a hint of bourbon bite.
