Hazy dark yellow some dense and thick alcohol legs. Aroma is straight up dominated by booze. Coconut and Vanilla are present with a faint orange sweetness. This is an incredibly boozy mead. Alcohol burn on the tongue, throat and takes about 30 seconds to fade. Dense and oily. All of the whiskey tastes you’d expect with some berries. I love the mounds bar sort of taste you get from this. but 2 ounces is enough

500 ml bottle shared byAdamjackson during Brian Grand Mead tasting. Crystal clear gold color, aroma is rich and hearty. Thick honey with a great amount of bourbon, oak and hints of vanilla.

Flavor is just as nice as the aroma. Rich full honey through the center with a rich oak, bourbon, and bourbon vanilla. Thicker fuller in body, a much better feel than most meads I’ve experienced. The alcohol does give a nice mild warming after the sip. Damn nice!

Tall narrow bottle opened, with difficulty (used a wine opener and cracked part of the glass, with deliberate effort no other issues arose and a great mead was poured) -- Poured into a Prairie tulip. A golden brilliantly clear mead when swirled leaves some very long legs. Smells strongly of honey booze and hint of wood. Flavor is strong delicious mead with a very slight hint of oak but mostly overpowering sweetness (mead, duh) of light citrus, honey, wax, cinnamon, perhaps a hint of apple. Great meat, however, I’m disappointed that they decided to market this as a BBA Mead, I’m not sure what to expected from a mead age on bourbon, but whatever it was, I didn’t taste it. Exceptional Mead, as expected, where’s the bourbon?

Bottle: Semi-clear golden-yellow body; no head, fat ass legs all over the glass. Huge aroma of glazed honey, vanilla, bourbon, damp wood, mild citrus, & light fusel notes. Flavor is smooth, warm, & sweet. Toasted honeycomb, heavy barrel, vanilla, moderate floral notes, light brown sugar, sticky sweet finish with some lasting alcohol heat. Big bodied. Really nice.
