clear yellow, no head. Aroma of honey, wood and booze, well blended, although almost like it is a bit oxidated ( likely the wood, the bottle is fresh opened ). Flavor is fantastic. deep honey, with some herbal and woody notes on top of that, also faint flowery note, and faint frutiy notes. but mostly potent honey. very good mead.

Bottle split with my wife. Pours a relatively clear golden amber. Big sweet honey and a touch of warm alcohol, floral and fruity, vanilla and wood. Medium-bodied, sweet caramel and honey. Big and warm, soft vanilla and bourbon, fruity honey. Glad this has been sitting in my cellar for a couple years, it’s absolutely lovely and while big, isn’t hot and boozy. Really well balanced and super smooth. Lingering vanilla and soft honey with caramel on the finish.

Very pale golden, slightly cloudy and no head. Nose is extremely boozy apple, kiss of honey and itchy woody tea. Initial taste is a rich and vibrant spicy cooking apple. Soft carbonation and polished mouthfeel, but fairly telling of booziness before the finish. Linger is thick honey and melon, ceramicy and oaky before heavy spice.
