Bottle, sent to me by Sammy-- thanks! Pale yellow with just the slightest tint of green, very fine carbonation. The aroma is almost the perfect clone of fresh lychee fruit, truly astonishing! The palate delivers strong lychee fruit flavour, floral honey, hints of grass and wax. Light bitterness is present in the dry finish. An amazing beverage, thoroughly enjoyable. Very cool.

Bottle from City Beverage in Winston Salem NC. It’s clear yellow in the glass with no head at all. Honey, pear, and a hint of hops are in the aroma. Apple, pear, honey, and hops are all present in the taste. The hops tried to balance out the sweetness of the honey, but it was really just a clash of styles that I didn’t enjoy.

I’ve liked previous meads from them, but unfortunately the aroma on this was bad to me - sweaty, wet socks. Poured a very pale color, small fizzy head, some carbonation. Flavor was nice light honey notes, some fruits, a touch of earthy notes.

I think this mead better than the score indicates as it is delicious. The hops give it a citrus component that is rounded out by the honey flavor.
