Picked up single 500ml bottle from Casanova Liquors in Hudson, WI. Pours a clear pinot gris colored mead with a clean disk top and plenty of viscosity tears. Aroma of piney and grapefruit hops, a touch of tart apple and honey. Taste continues the pine and Cascade-like hops, well balanced with sweet honey. Finish has a short-lived sharp spicy hop bitterness followed by sweet honey.

From notes: Poired a very pale straw color, almost clear, with a small, thin white head that quickly dissipated. Light bubbling along the glass. Light honey-sweet aroma with some grapefruit hops beneath. Body is light, but with a very slight thickness and a brief, dry finish. Interesting flavor, blending sweet honey with a mild bitterness from the grapefruity hops. A bit odd at first taste, but I found it quite drinkable.

Bottle pours a clear pale golden with some spotty bubbling for a head. Aroma of a dry mead with honey, apples, and mild hops. Taste is dry apple and mildly sweet honey followed by bitter hops finishing bitter and almost nutty. Taste is pretty shocking at first while cold but it mellows out and becomes drinkable once it warms. Interesting, might be onto something in the future, may work better with a drier mead.

Bottle; Pour is a pear or chardonnay coloration , with a very modest white head in this glass that retains poorly , a hint of lacing present here. The nose is mild funk, fruit juice, honey comb, and pine. The flavor profile is off putting for me - I picked this up for a new experience, and while it provided that for me it’s not a great end product. More bitterness from the hop profile with a touch of florals, some pineyness present, albeit in an odd fashion - more funk (not in a good way), and there is honey and pear fruit here. Anyway..

On tap at Sugar Maple. Clear medium yellow with no head. Aroma of honey, pine, earthy tones and mild dankness. Taste of honey, pine, spruce and mild floral hops. No real bitterness and a bit of a miss-match in flavors.

Tastes sweet and bitter but off in some way. Flavors of apples, honey, makeup, white wine..ick. Leaves a slippery, bitter, floral, chemical taste on your mouth after drinking. Can’t drink the rest.

Pours very pale yellow color withthin white head. Aromas of grapefruit and pine. Tastes like a hoppy mead. Unfortunately those flavors don’t mix very well. Sweet honey, apple flavor with bitter grapefruit rind and pine. Medium body with syrupy mouthfeel. Definitely not on par with their usually very nice meads.

Crazy looking as the body is nearly clear with just a hint of color. Almost like ginger ale in appearance. Has an interesting fruit and honey aroma. Flavor does not match aroma. Immediate hop bite followed by a tart cider flavor. Definitely weird. High carbonation adds to the experience. I appreciate what was attempted and encourage others to take a taste if seen on tap.
