2.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pours a pale golden color thats slightly hazy... as it hits the glass the bubbles shoot to the top and clear it right up. No visible head but a few rising bubbles exist. Aromas are floral honey, pine, citrus and a touch of earthy spice. On the palate this falls apart. Soapy window cleaner flavors develop and mask the hop pungency and honey sweetness immensely. There is some nice glimpses of dank hops and focused sweet honey flavors but they mingle with a bitter messy off flavor that is just a bad combination. I think the hops would have a better effect if they were much more subdued and Im a hop lover... just not coming together in this one.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
50cl bottle. Small white head that wholly dissipates atop crystal clear pear juice body. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange, some honey, floral, light grape, grapefruit. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit/orange, light floral, honey. Light-medium body, light stickiness. The combination of flavors clashes rather than merges for me.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle from Homer321 - thanks LaSean! Pours a clear, very pale yellow gold with some fizzing bubbles initially that quickly settle into nothing. Looks like a white wine, basically. Aroma of florals, grass, straw, earth, and honey. The flavor has more honey, balanced by grass, florals, herbs, and earth. Light-medium bodied, with a vinous, lightly bitter mouthfeel and low carbonation. Not as hop-forward as advertised, but a decent mead. Underrated.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
My very first mead, so it’s difficult to rate this. I definitely prefer this to an average sake, but give me a beer any day. I have no idea why this one is marketed as an IPA-style mead - there’s no citrus or bitterness. It’s actually pretty watery and inoffensive. Just nothing noteworthy about this.

Thin white wine look, no head. Blossoming lychee and rich bitterness already coming through. Cooling bitterness, cloying at times. Easy going mouth-feel. Light limey finish, oddly citrus.
