COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The second release in the Ken Schramm Signature Series of meads. Ken’s recipe required almost one pound of fresh ginger per gallon of finished mead. Raw orange blossom honey compliments the ginger nicely. This is a ginger lover’s mead and has plenty of heat to balance the sweetness. Pairs nicely with Asian dishes.

Pours a wonderful light golden hue. Holy ginger the aroma is all ginger, nothing artificial here just pure raw ginger. The flavor exudes ginger even more than the aroma. Tons of fresh peeled ginger. There is a wonderful honey sweetness to provide some balance, but the ginger still shines. Love the hint of raw ginger burn in the finish. A masterpiece of a mead!

As close to perfection as I have seen in a mead. The aroma and flavor are ginger, honey and a bit more ginger, with the heat of the ginger tempered perfectly by the rich honey sweetness. Simply stunning.

375 ml bottle. Pours a clear brilliant gold with no head. This is a still mead. The aroma is absolutely filled with ginger along with some underlying notes of sweet honey. I don’t know that I’ve ever had a ginger beverage with more ginger aroma than this. The flavor is again all about the ginger. There is some sweet honey beneath the surface, but is dominated by the fresh ginger. The heat rises quickly and lingers for quite a while at the back of the throat. I’d call it strong and consistent heat. Wow! As the description says, this is for ginger lovers. My wife, who loves fresh ginger, had some and really enjoyed this.
