COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This special release celebrates the best of show winner in the 2009 Michigan Renaissance Festival home brewing competition. You hold the commercial version of the winning recipe by Michael Spears. It is made with orange blossom honey, mandarin oranges, orange zest, and fresh ginger. Big citrus aroma, along with subtle ginger, is supported by a nice orange-honey flavor. This is batch #91 and it was made on August 17th, 2010. Only 15 gallons produced.

Pours a very pale yellow, nice and thick in appearance. Wonderful sweet honey aromas. Mostly honey but a touch of orange zest as well. The flavor is high on the orange blossom honey. Mild orange zest notes with just a dash of ginger in the finish. Could use a bit more ginger but very solid. Congrats to Michael Spears for winning and having a commercial batch of his mead produced.
