COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Many years ago, a mysterious book was discovered by a group of friends in a Ferndale, MI basement. A translation of its contents revealed the recipe for an ancient beverage using mango juice, honey, and black pepper. What they didn’t realize was that creating the beverage had dire consequences. Stricken by fear after its compleation, the friends tried to contain the terrifying forces into this very bottle. Once opened, however, no one can say for sure if it can be conquered. 500 ml bottle. Pours a crystal clear light yellow color with no head at all. The aroma is honey, mango, some pepper, and apple juice. The flavor is much of the same; not crazy sweet as I would expect, honey, mango and tropical fruits, with a nice pepper spice thrown in. Nice to try, but not my thing.

Pours slightly carbonated pear into a tulip. Bright white bubbles quickly recede to nothing. Wax lips and pepper aromas. Thin and lightly carbonated with sweet tropical fruit and honey front to back. Medium length pepper and apple finish.

Pours a clear yellow, no head or carbonation really, looks like white wine. Aroma of floral fruity perfumes. Taste follows, not too sweet, a hint of mango, but I don’t really get the pepper. It’s good for a mead, but I don’t think I’m gonna come back to it.

Bottle with some bros at Seans. Pours clearish, no head, notes of floral honey, grape juice, perfume, lavender scents, a little sour, apple juice. Nothing special here, just some stadard floral, perfumey mead. Not much pepper or strong mango present.

Bottle. Pours like a glass of white wine with no head. Could also pass for urine. Nose is very floral, with notes of honey and mango. Taste is heavy on the mango. Not relentlessly sweet. Nice tartness cuts it. Pepper is strong on the backend and aftertaste. Well put together and tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ar: Smells like honeysuckles, it is very light and floral. Ap: Translucent light yellow that looks like a nice champagne or white wine, minus any bubbles or carbonation. T: Light, sweet and very nice. It is like a great cider, but not a very sweet or dry one. I get a bit of mango as well. M: Very light with slight carbonation. Harsher on the end, with lots of bubbles. O: This is an excellent mead, that has a nice balance of dryness and sweetness to it.

Pours a pale pale yellow, minimal head, some bubbles on the side of my snifter. Aroma is honey, some mango and dish soap. Taste is interesting , sweet with honey and dried mango and the black pepper comes through in the end. Not bad at all.

The aroma is cloyingly sweet with honey, tropical fruit, and spice. The appearance is light yellow with no head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall pretty average.

Bottle from Whole Foods P Street in DC. Nose is too pepper heavy but the spice blends well in the flavor. Nice fruit and a bit of residual sweetness. Very crisp.
