3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: clear and pale – like a pinot blanc or sauvignon blanc. Small blanket of bubbles coat the bottom of glass.
Nose: delicate orange blossoms, honeysuckle blossoms – portrays a union of white blossoms from tree branches to a white blanket of blossoms atop a field of green grass. Hint of pulped apples. Heaviest in the middle where honey, still subtle, is most prominent.
Palate: sweet, smooth, and silky, the silky mouthfeel carries the orange blossom petals from front to back. Lingers longest atop middle of the tongue. Apple pulp in the breath – fresh without the bitterness of apple skin. Gentle mouth-coating. Slow glow of warmth in chest.
Final Thoughts: a clean mead highlighting its proud namesake, the Orange Blossom. A bit unassuming which I found was part of its beauty.

2.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Liquor World in Cambridge. Baby Duvel Tulip. Clear, pale straw gold color.
Smells of moldy wood, old leather & warm plastic. Bleh.
Taste is rich, but tolerable while cold.Caramelized. Coating, mild rindy flavor that I honestly did not expect. Leafy green. Good texture. Bittersweet finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Plainfield MWBF. Pours a very pale white with a hint of gold. Still. Nose is intensely floral and orange, hints of candied orange peel and a distinct honey note. On taste, it is medium sweet with more candied orange notes. Very honey forward with some moderate vanilla coming through. I’m not a huge fan of the yeast character here as it is too estery for my liking and a bit of an odd balance. Not a bad mead, but the yeast interplay with the orangey notes is a bit offputting.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour in a wine glass from a 750 ml bottle at The Lion’s Pride. Pours a clear pale gold color with no head. Aroma of orange peel, honey, herbs, hay, pale malts, and oak. Flavor improves upon that in complexity, with big orange and honey, herbs, wood, and a good deal of wildflower notes. Medium bodied, with low carbonation and a smooth, sweet, floral mouthfeel. Interesting mead.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
750 mL bottle. Pours almost clear with just a light golden hue and a few fine particles. Kind of a plasticy new shore aroma with some mustiness and notes of berry. Flavor is more of orange-flavored honey with that mustiness and a tiny bit of the plasticy note. Fairly tasty despite the "shoe" note.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pale, clear, golden pour. Somewhat floral nose, notes of honey, alcohol, orange, and slight vanilla. Medium body with a slick mouth feel. The orange really comes through, the alcohol is not as well hidden as in some of their other meads but the sweetness does help to soften it a bit. Finishes on the sweeter side.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
clearish yellow pour..harsh body in terms of alcohol..not masked by the basic orange and honey qualities of this mead...very basic, and just too brutal to finish
