As far as hard ciders go this is one of the best. Chai tea lightens the whole thing up and adds a touch of cinnamon without the fakeness that comes with adding actual cinnamon flavor. This is one of my favorites from b Nektar

Bottle. A still dark amber to copper colored drink. Spiced nose with apples in the back. Sort of like a mulled wine, except there’s apples in the back. Semi-sweet on the palate, medium bodied and soft, with flavors of spices and a touch of apples in the back. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, raisins and some nuts. Long finish. Suspect I’d prefer this one mulled, but it’s nice anyway. 151124

Draft. Poured clear dark amber color with a minimal white head that diminished slowly with good legs. Moderate aroma of sweet spice apple. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium spice apple flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations were met.

Pours a clear brownish amber with orange highlights. Nose involves the series of chai spices they used, ginger and clove popping out, some cardamom, with an herbal tea quality as well. Almost has a cola or root beer-esque aroma when everything combines. Pretty sweet flavor, somewhat tart. Light bodied, clean spiciness, lingering apple tartness on the end. Quite an old bottle (definitely had in the fridge for over a year), so not as spritzy as I’m guessing it was. Another clever creation, though one that’s not quite to my tastes to revisit.

At first, the taste of this cider is somewhat tart, but it is very smooth. The cider is full bodied, and has many layers a flavor. There is a very heavy taste of cardamom to this beer, but the spice is not overpowering.

Tap at Craft Covent Garden. Really tied the room together. Aroma is spicy, chai, cinnamon, fruity, medicinal/herbal. Taste is nice, much less spicy, rich apples, little bit of honey sweetness, some other fruitiness, feels like cherry maybe. Apple fritters!! That’s it!! Very nice.

Tap @ mikkeller bar. Pours clear dark amber. Aroma of ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon,. pear, cardamom, apple, tea and chai notes. The taste has some pear, apple and the tea and spices from the aroma. Pretty interesting and enjoyable if you are into a spicy icetea with alcohol.
