As far as hard ciders go this is one of the best. Chai tea lightens the whole thing up and adds a touch of cinnamon without the fakeness that comes with adding actual cinnamon flavor. This is one of my favorites from b Nektar

Bottle at Crowbar, april 22nd 2016. Hazy amber body with a small white head. Aroma of cinnamon, tea, apples, honey. Taste is sweet with lots of spices and a mild citric note, apple vinegar, spicy finish. Strange stuff.

Draught at Barcade, 4/16/16.
Mostly clear, amber-mahogany with a lighter tan tint and a small, off-white head that rapidly fizzles away.
Light brown sugar, sweet cardamom, strong vanilla and apple with a clove-meets-white pepper finish and no alcohol or flaw. Not really artificial or anything and not flawed, but a bit heavy-handed with the spice and sweetness.
In the mouth, there’s a dry spiciness to it that somewhat clashes with the sugary, red apple character and lots brown sugar and apple sauce. Not really syrupy or artificial but far from terribly endearing or overly drinkable.

This is a super cool name for a beer, or cider, but man. Talk about hard to drink. Pours up a clear amber color with zero head. Aroma is a lot of spice, cinnamon, chai, tea leaves, cardamom. It just hits you over the head. The flavor is an absolute london ton of spices, same as found in the aroma. The apple is hard to find under all this spice but it is there. The stuff is super abrasive, and over the top in spice. Nearly un drinkable. Medium body and soft carbonation. This was overly spicey and after a few swigs I couldn’t drink anymore. You could likely ward off evil spirits with this stuff, or maybe make a nice candle, but for a drink its rough.

I’ll admit I would have bought this just for the name, but b nektar has proven to make great unique meads with weird flavors that just work. This is no exception - chai tea and apple. Big nose and flavor, yet pretty quaffable. Just wish it was cheaper.

On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours honey with a modest off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a hearty complex flavor with various fruit tastes and some other stuff. Lots of honey.

Pours a muddy copperish color no real head to speak off. Aroma is what you would expect, chia spices snd apple cider. Flavor is heavy on the chia spices. Refreshing and semi dry.

Huge cardamom, cinnamon and spice notes dominate in this sweet apple mead. Pouring clear dark apple juice with just a light carbonation.
