Cranberries, roses, cherries, honey aroma, a little perfumey. Rose colored, visible carbonation. Cranberries then cherries, red grape overtones, vinous. Medium body, quite hot, tannic, and a little spritzy. More recognizable as a wine than a mead, and no apple or rum character. Disappointing for a mead lover like me.

Refigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a snifter. Clear orangish pink with no head, or lacing. Aroma is sweet honey with hints of cherries, medium body, low carbonation, and syrupy texture. Taste is honey, cherry, whiskey, wood, and hints of alcohol. Lots of flavor, starts off light for the abv and gets heavy, and needs more carbonation. Overall not my thing.

500mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out rose petals, apples, whiskey, and cherries. Flavour is interesting, bringing out cherries, apples and honey. Not really getting any of the whiskey. The 12% is amazingly well-hidden and the palate is rather soft and light. Quite a nice mead / cider hybrid.

Borrow - Sweet honey, cherry, apple and light whisky booze. Pale pinky orange with no head. Cherry, honey sweet whisky heat. Lots of nice sweet cherry and barrel notes.

Very nice, like a Zombie Killer on steroids. The Bourban flavor is nice but not overwhelming. I enjoyed it but it's definitely not twice as good as good as the regular Zombie Killer even though it's twice the price. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500ml bottle. Poured a clear pink color with a fizzy off-white head. Aroma was a solid punch of cherries, light sweetness, sugar. Flavor was massive amounts of alcohol. Cherries, some light vanilla notes. Booze. Hits you hard later on. Pretty tasty.

500 ml bottle shared with the group. Pours a clear peach juice color with a few random bubbles. The aroma and flavor have cherry, apples, sweet honey, some spicy whiskey notes, I like the character of this alot. The sweetness and whiskey barrel blend well.

Appearance: It’s pink. Looks like a Shirley Temple. ~ Aroma: Now the name makes sense...cherry, bourbon, bitters, a Manhattan. Some floral notes. ~ Taste: whiskey is still there. Like a Rye Spritzer. Cherry and apple are sour in the aftertaste. ~ Feel: very bubbly.~ Not bad. Interesting. I found the "Kill All the Golfers" mead much more refreshing.

Bottle; Pour is clear light gold with pink undertones - a feint white head is present - though it dissipates quickly here. The flavor profile reveals honeycomb, cherry juice, which moves to a mild barrel treatment , coupled with feint vanilla. I can’t say I was impressed. The flavor profile has more depth for me here - sweet apple notes initial, moving to light spice, vanilla, with feint cherry pie and more honeycomb moving forward - the barrel treatment is light here - and I have to say that I was expecting more out of this one. The alcohol isn’t masked perfectly near the finish line, which reveals a dry finish - but overall - a nice attempt and worth a shot.

Tap sample. Poured clear reddish pale color with good legs. Moderate tart fruit, honey and vanilla wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and long legs. Medium tart fruit and honey flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate duration. Pleasing smooth alcohol burn. Good mead.
