Hazy light pink color with a thin white head. Aroma of cherries, honey, vanilla, and whiskey. Taste of much of the same, cherries up front, vanilla oak, and light whiskey in the finish.

This bottled July 2014, pours a light reddish color. no head at all. Smells like straight up sweet cherry juice. touch of boozy alcohol. Taste is quite interesting. Very akin to cherry cough syrup, rye and woody notes are there, very boozy, slight burn in my throat. Cherry is great but a tough too medicinal. Could never drink a bottle myself.

Pours lightly hazy pink champagne, like sensual vaginal juice. Aroma brings sweet honey dominating with ever so subtle cherries. Flavor brings sweet honey and smooth faint barrel notes so soft and welcoming on the palate with a full body.

Shared 16.9 oz. bottle poured to snifters, displaying a clear, orange color, with no froth or lacing. The nose was candy sweetness, apple & cherry, with kind of an artificial lozenge scent. Medium bodied, with no real effervescence, the taste was quite sweet & a bit syrupy, cough medicine-like flavor, didn’t connect with the 12% abv, but was basically tasty. Appreciate a good mead from time to time, but this one didn’t really wow me.

$13.50 for the 500 mL purchased from New England Wine & Spirits Friday. To oversized snifter, it pours a rose-tinted light tangerine orange with which a quickly diminishing off-white head barely s fingernail in length stood, if only for a moment. Aromas of caramel apples, bing & maraschino cherries, rye whiskey-soaked oak chips, unripe cranberries, sweet vermouth, wet cardboard, apple cider vinegar, cognac heat, fruit leather, and orange blossom honey. Tastes the same with the addition of flat pomegranate-flavored seltzer, sweat, and agave syrup. White raisins, crushed aspirin, and sugar plums experienced by swallow. Burned a little at the finish which had been accompanied by a powerful fructose sweetness. Well, I’ve been wanting to try this for a while and so I’m glad I did, but this hardly exceeds Zombie Killer in terms of general complexity. Thankfully it had come in a unshareable size.

a little too sickly sweet for my tastes, but a dangerous thing that could easily be redrinkable.

Bottle 50 cl at Sweet & Sour, Sätila, 2014-08-30. Thanks to tkrjukoff!
Clear light copper color, smallish white head. Sweet, fruity that made me think hoppy, wood, berry, cherry scent, some alcohol. Sweet, berry, honey, apple taste. Apple, sweet, light tart aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel, no bitterness. Some legs left on the glass. A bit warming.

Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours clear pale pinkish orange with a small white head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and fruity with Granny Smith apples, sour cherries, honey, alcohol, oatmeal, hay and hints of pure flower nectar. Taste is sweet, tiny sour and fruity with apple juice, honey, hay, alcohol and hints of cherries. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky sweet, tiny tart, boozy and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, tiny sour and fruity with apple juice, honey, hay and hints of cherries. Not a huge fan of the Cyser concept so far. Well made but not my thing…
