Bottle. Pours a clear light ruby with no head. Almost like a Shirley Temple. Aroma is mostly apple and cherry with a hint of marshmallow fluff. Taste is also dominated by apple and cherry. Rye barrel comes out towards the end with some spice. Alcohol is well-masked. Smooth rich palate with a little carb. The rye barrel cuts the sweetness just enough. This is great.

Appearance: Itís pink. Looks like a Shirley Temple. ~ Aroma: Now the name makes sense...cherry, bourbon, bitters, a Manhattan. Some floral notes. ~ Taste: whiskey is still there. Like a Rye Spritzer. Cherry and apple are sour in the aftertaste. ~ Feel: very bubbly.~ Not bad. Interesting. I found the "Kill All the Golfers" mead much more refreshing.

Bottle; Pour is clear light gold with pink undertones - a feint white head is present - though it dissipates quickly here. The flavor profile reveals honeycomb, cherry juice, which moves to a mild barrel treatment , coupled with feint vanilla. I canít say I was impressed. The flavor profile has more depth for me here - sweet apple notes initial, moving to light spice, vanilla, with feint cherry pie and more honeycomb moving forward - the barrel treatment is light here - and I have to say that I was expecting more out of this one. The alcohol isnít masked perfectly near the finish line, which reveals a dry finish - but overall - a nice attempt and worth a shot.

Tap sample. Poured clear reddish pale color with good legs. Moderate tart fruit, honey and vanilla wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and long legs. Medium tart fruit and honey flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate duration. Pleasing smooth alcohol burn. Good mead.

Bottle at home. Pours clear pale copper with a faint fizzy white head that dissipates before it really begins. Aroma is cherry and coconut, honey, oak and whiskey. Flavor is sweet honey and lightly tart cherries, coconut, oak and whiskey with a sweet finish. Full body.

Pours the color of a blush wine with no head. Aroma is whiskey & cherry all day long. Taste is apple and whiskey with a honey "thickness". ABV is there but not in your face.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours light coppery peach with no head. Aroma of cherry with a rye note. Med minus body. Starts honey, goes towards dry, very slightly tart cherry. Leaves honey note on the lips. Very subtle. Rye is very light. Apple is hard for me to find. Finishes very lightly sweet.

Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room-. Pours honey with no head and a apple and whiskey aroma. There is a sweet and sour apple flavor with a honey chaser and a warm bourbon trail. Aha, now I taste the cherry. This is a complex brew that is a pleasure to drink.

Bottle (thanks to goodbyeohio for sharing)... Poured clear, pink with little-to-no head. This is awesome stuff and quite drinkable for 12%. Sweet honey along with apple juice, some whiskey notes similar to a cocktail flavor and maraschino/candied-charry notes. Wonderful stuff.
