Bottle at cgarvieuk’s Danish Invasion extravaganza. Pale yellow gold pour. Soft elderflower and blossom honey, hint of open alcohol on the nose. Slightly tart apple flavour with spicy honey flavours underneath. Very clean with a nice almost-sherbet character. Quite light in body, lovely long tart finish with just the slightest hint of alcohol. Really interesting, lovely stuff.

Pours somewhat translucent yellow with haziness throughout. Aroma is somewhat sweet with notes of lighter fruits. Flavor is rich and sweet with a decent amount of alcohol in the finish. Quite good and smooth. Heavy on the honey and floral notes with a pinch of spice.

375ml bottle thanks to badnewsbeers. Pours with a hazed golden body with laser etched legs. Aroma is hay, spicy, grape skins, tannins, honey and alcohol. Flavors are sort of spicy and grain like (strange), earthy, spicy, with a lingering floral-fruit-wine grape note. Some light citrus like acidity as well. Medium viscosity for a mead of this size. Good tannins which seem to offset the sweetness and dry it out a bit. Very floral honey, that lends an odd character to the mead.

Tupelo honey is a favorite of mine and this did not disappoint. Nice light brown still pour. The flavor and aroma is all about right sweet mildly floral honey. Very sweet and very tasty. Great stuff.
