4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
The appearance is elegant, with dark pink and red hues, like a light sangria or rosé. Nice and fruity aromas were wafting out of the bottle. Light berries, namely blackberry and blueberries come to mind. Slight alcohol notes and a touch of sweet honey finished the nose.
Tasted pretty much like I expected with dominating fruity flavors and a mellow alcohol flavor melding to make this mead extremely drinkable. Sweet but not overly so. Well worth the buy and this one is a definite crowd pleaser.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - snifter
Appearance - Clean red body, light carbonation
Aromas - Berries, leaves, honey and alcohol
Taste - Sharp raspberry, juicy red fruits, alcohol
While lightly carbonated and fruity, presented itself very similar to a fine sparking wine. The aftertaste was tart and dry, filling the palate with flavors of fresh fruit and light alcohol. Thanks to OmegaX for this one!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at Fermentation Lounge in Tallahassee, FL. The best of our mead flight by a mile, this has almost zero honey character and could be presented to your friend as "normal sangria" without them batting an eyelid. So enjoyment of this is directly correlated to your enjoyment of sangria as I could not tell the difference.
Pours a clear, flat, deep ruby. Good widely spaced, thick legs drip with a swirl. Nose up front is diacetyl (?) or something similar. Volatile compounds release and allow sangria mix and tart berries to come forth. Taste is vinous, no honey viscosity, quite thin like red wine. Sharp, sour cranberry with a quick flash of alcohol heat at the beginning. Lactic sour finish. Good stuff.

Nice mead. Good honey, berry and some wine notes. Flavor isn’t as strong as the aroma...sorta wish it was, as the finish is a bit fleeting.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
bottle.. medium purple with a bit of brown... smells great, mostly a red wine with a bit oak and honey on the back, wonderful... slightly disappointed in the taste as I was expecting excellence, merely ok, sweet red wine but has a distracting chemical berry cough syrup note to it that kills this, tannins, black berries, honey and oak... borderline recommended

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: liquid berries – blueberry, mulberry, and cranberry. Deep and polished like a liquid precious gem.
Nose: cold blueberries, flesh and skin included. Pomace, pits, and stems for sweet bitter tannic harmony. Purple, black, and red grapes. Wild berries.
Palate: not heavy or too light, just right. Berry forward with faint honey hints. Grapes and blueberries in the breath. Tingles in the back with tannic bitterness of skins and grape seeds; pomace. Clean profile and delicious. Silken honey along the edges with berry taking center stage.
Final Thoughts: delicious. The color on first pour kind of scared me but happiness waited with each sip and each glass until the bottle was empty. B. Nektar takes a lot of risk with some of their meads and I have yet to taste one that did not pay off in flavor goodness.

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pour in a wine glass from a 750 ml bottle at The Lion’s Pride. Pours a deep violet color, lighter on the edges, with no carbonation or head. Beautiful, rich aroma of blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, along with honey sweetness. Just a lot of lovely berries in there. Could smell this all day. Flavor of honey sweetness, blueberries and blackberries. Some wine-like booze on the finish. Medium-bodied, smooth, sweet, and fruity, with low carbonation. Awesome mead.
