COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our most popular "gateway mead". Made with clover honey, shiraz grapes, and has a great wildberry flavor. Makes an excellent sangria. Serve alone, or mix with soda water, and add a lemon and lime.

From a 750 mL bottle at OTH. Pours a still, deep read. Nose is strawberry, raspberry, and slight red grapes. Flavor is similar with the initial taste being a b it drier than I would have thought. Finish sweet with a hint of dry. Very enjoyable mead.

The aroma is vinous with plenty of alcohol and a bit of berries. The appearance is rose with not head. The taste is like the aroma with a bit of a bite. The palate is average. Overall an interesting mead but not one I love.

very fruity with a touch of mint. nice all around body with a bit of alcohol strength. touch of astringent but it makes a nice dessert flavor mead.

10/31/10. Sample given to me by my new friends at Florida Microbev! I’m really liking this meadery. Can’t say this was very "dry," per say, but there is a definite winey tannic kick from the juice. Very nice!

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2010 Thanks to Justin for bringing this one to a tasting. Pours a purplish with lighter pink undertones. Still in the glass. Nice honey sweetness backed by aromas of blueberry and raspberries. The flavor is all honey sweetness. Lots of sweet blueberries and a touch of bitter raspberry as well. Hints of wine grapes and a touch of apple. Really tasty mead. Buy it you will like it.

Poured clear pinkish purple with little to no head, smooth carb. Aroma has a bunch of honey, some sweet grapes and a touch of berry with the booze. Taste is sweet honey, nice touch of grape and berry, with a honey sweet finish, touch of booze. Nice mead.

Sampled at the 2010 GTMW. Poured a pinkish rosy red with no head. Aroma was mainly honey though there was a nice underlying berry and grape note. Flavor began sweet with honey but growing berries and a hint of grape meld nicely.

Courtesy tpd975. It pours clear rosy red. The aroma is rich dark sweet berries, some honey meadness and faint chemical booze / heat. Nice. The taste is sweet smooth slick and yummy going from a sweet berry goodness to a sort of drier red wine like note and then back to smooth honey / mead berry decadence. Yum.

Serving: Bottle from State Line Liquors.
It pours a nice ruby color with no head. The nose has lots of berry and grape notes with a bit of booze too. The flavor is sweet with lots of grape and berry notes. The honey is there, but not in the forefront. Light to medium in body with a long, sweet finish. I think this one would serve better as a mixer than as a stand alone.

Thanks a lot to our favorite beekeeper, tpd975 for the share. Reddish like color, no head aroma, lots of berry goodness, floral and blossom, sweet nectar flowers. flavors, wild berries, boozy, light palate compared to previous B-Nektar. I found the berries to be a tad too over the top, taking away from some of the honey aspects. Still a fine tasty mead.
