A traditional mead made with wildflower honey from the thumb area of Michigan. The honey makes a richly complex mead, full of aromas and flavors of many of Michiganís natural flora. We age this mead on American oak wich softens it and adds some nice vanilla notes.

11/17/12. Sampled at Grassroots in Jacksonville, FL. Pours a clear light gold/pale yellow color. One of their more "standard" offerings for sure, not that there is anything wrong with that. Light floral, honey, and slight alcohol aroma with a flavor to match it. Again, itís nothing crazy, but itís a plain, sweet, honey wine, and thereís really nothing wrong with that.

Notes of honey and vanilla on the aroma. Straw appearance with a slight haze. Still. Flavor has moderate honey notes with noticeable amounts of vanilla. Sterol alcohol notes are present and detract from the flavor. Medium dry sweetness. Body is medium. Overall, the high levels of sterol alcohols make this an unpleasant mead. Won't buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour on tap at the meadery, clear yellow with no head, aroma has cat pee, urine, hints of earth, some honey, floral notes, touch of fruit in there but really pee forward. Taste is a mix of lots of floral notes, bitter grass, some soap, touch of honey, finishing boozy, slightly sweet.

Bottle. Pale clear yellow pour, with a few small bubbles. Sweet honey, very floral, a bit of spritzy citrus, and oak. Finishes slightly dry. Tasty, somewhat refreshing actually.

The aroma is honey and some vanilla. Pours a clear light yellow. The taste is sweet. The body is light, the texture thin, the carbonation soft and the finish long. Very good just a touch of alcohol.

Bottle. Hazy light straw body, no head. Sharp nose of honey and potpourri. Sweet, sweet body. Like, very sweet, with some floral tannic elements but still sugary as hell. If hell is sugary. Which it probably isnít, except that implies hell exists, which it doesnít. But forgive these saccharine digressions and take away this: this is one sweet-ass motherfucking mead.
