Zombie Killer Cherry Cyser is made with Michigan tart cherry juice, apple cider and star thistle honey. It is sweet but balances nicely with the tart cherries. Be careful...it is extremely addicting and refreshing. Serve cold...Zombies hate the cold!

Bottle from trade with umich03jm. Rose colored pour, like a wine, no head, aroma is light of cherries, and slightly wine like, with hints of apple. Flavor is moderately sweet with a good presence of cherries as well as apples. Reminds me of a sweet wine. Finishes with a sweet, slightly tart taste. Refreshing and easy to drink, and nice to have tried something new.

Bottle, indeed one of the best labels I’ve seen in a while. Mine’s at 6% abv. Nose of tart apple cider with a hint of pear and faint cherry out of the bottle, a little more in he glass, and a preview of tartness. Pours a very pale, transparent pink-peach with no head. Apples up front in the mouth, sour cherries and noticeable honey, I really like the blend, it’d be easy to let any of the individual elements extirpate the others. Quite sweet but the tartness prevents it from ever reaching for cloying territory, there’s faint bitterness and minor sting from the alcohol. A very pleasant pucker from drinking a bit too quickly. Mildly crisp and smooth body, light-medium, overall well-rounded and very enjoyable. Cheers!

Color and aroma of a white Zinfandel with cherries. Very sweet honey and cherry taste with the white wine carbonation. Great mead.

Orange- pink color with no head. Aroma of apple skins, honey, dark cherries and a hint of wood. Pleasant sweetness, faint carbonation, and light acidity. Dry apple flavors with hints of tart cherry and earthy honey flavors. Never too sweet, finishes with a pleasant dryness. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Pours a pinkish gold color with zero head on it. Nose is sweet and tart, with a mix of several fruit tones in there. Taste is much the same. The cherry they mention isn’t overpowering, which is nice (since I hate cherries). Tastes more like a cider than a mead to me.

500ml bottle from Sam’s, Durham. A treat to see this one readily available and it more or less lived up to its reputation. Kind of a blood orange pour, with a crisp, thin head. Nose was dry initially but then an almost New Glarus-like cherry pie aroma settles in for a long stay. Moderately puckering mouthfeel, fulsome, and dry in the finish. Dry zinfandel and cherry pie blend together, and much more successfully than that might sound. Apples likely comport the dryness, and the finish is nicely tart. Strong stuff, I look forward to having it again.
