COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Zombie Killer Cherry Cyser is made with Michigan tart cherry juice, apple cider and star thistle honey. It is sweet but balances nicely with the tart cherries. Be careful...it is extremely addicting and refreshing. Serve cold...Zombies hate the cold!

Pours a still orange red Nose that has an odd earthy funkiness , honey, and some phenol hairspray notes. it tastes like a cherry fruit cocktail with cherries dominating and other mysterious apple/grape flavors. The sweet earthy honey comes in with a note of bitterness. I really like the honey in here, but most of the rest of it is just ok.

Light orange and pink, and a bit hazy, but looks good. Smells like sweet cherries, and paired with some tart apple, this is definitely a nice drink. Finishes crisp with a bit of tart on the end. Really good!

Murky orange pour to this sweet fruit punch. I think it is what they were shooting for, bit to sweet for me.

Bottle from Bursprak. Many thanks! Light pink/orange colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet aroma of honey, green apples and red fruit. Sweet with light tart notes. Easy drinkable. Good.

Poured from a bottle into a flute glass. The appearance is clear with a dark gold color. The aroma is light, fruity, and not really sweet smelling. Fine bubbles give it a light mouthfeel. Taste is crisp and fruity, but not overly sweet like many meads. This is quite enjoyable and could easily be sessionable.

Paired with an episode of the Walking Dead. Bottle from a small liquor shop in Chicago near Wringley Field. Served in a stemmed glass. 6% the color is a pinkish hued gold with a wisp of white fizz as a head that vanishes instantaneously. A bit wine like in the nose with honey, cherry, cinnamon, hints of apples and somewhat of a rose vibe to the aroma. Medium bodied, frikiní delicious flavor - tart cherries, sour apples, cinnamon, honey sweet but with a zombie chomping bite to it. The best mead Iíve ever had and it makes me want to seek out more mead~! Damn this is good!

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours clear dark gold-amber with a thin white head. Aromas of pear, slight cherries, apples. Taste is more tart up front, sweet cherries, green apples, pear cider.

500 ml bottle purchased a year ago at Holiday Wine Cellar ($9.99). Pours an interesting pinkish-amber hue with a very thin layer of white-ish foam with champagne-like effervescence that quickly dissipates into nothingness. AROMA of both tart and sweet cherries, semisweet apple cider, with hints of sweet honey and spice. FLAVOR has much of the same with cherries at the forefront along with the apples and honey and spice more in the background. Really nice mixture and balance of the tart and the sweet, with the spice as a nice complement. Iím not very familiar with this style and seems to be at least as much cider as mead. Not particularly complex overall, but extremely quaffable and actually quite refreshing on a hot San Diego day in October. (455, 920)

Bottle @ De Molen Beershop. Pours clear golden with bubbles fading. Very complex and interesting nose and flavor. Cherries, flowers, apples, blossom and honey. Sweet and vinous but quite refreshing with a mild tart bite - balanced. Slick. Delicious!

Sampled at Northgate Tasting. 3rd mead ever. Iím sorry for the useless comment, but I just donít know how to rate these yet. Going with my gut on how it speaks to me. These are all weird to me.

Tap. Pours a cristal clear golden with a whit head that disappears completely in no time once poured. Aroma is apple juice, tart cherries with and only a subtle honey. Reminds my of cherrie sauce. Taste is medium not very sweet for the style. Apple juice with a crisp cherry finish. A slight tart dryness too. So drinkable!
