tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 2, 2011
Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in November 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear copper in colour with a thin white head. Pleasant and sweet Del Monte tropical fuit salad in the short aroma. Thin but pleasant mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malts give long fruit notes of juicy mango, honeydew melon and lychees. Slight prickle of dusty aromatic hops in the short aftertaste but weak throughout. Sweet malt continues well into the long fruity finish. Excellent session ale.

Cask handpull at Samuel Peto, JDW, Folkestone. Chestnut colour with thin beige head. Fruity malt aroma. Quite juicy in mouth. OK dryness on finish. Some residual dry malt. Juicy bitter, pretty well made. Like most B&T beers, its fine.

imdownthepub (7461) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 6, 2009
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with white head. Too cold, too flavourless and too dull. A poor beer in a poor pub.

Cask, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal, Oadby. Clear amber brown with a cream head. Aromas are weetabix and oats with chocolate. Flavours are sweet and sugary with lots of caramel. Quite malty. Lightly fruity with green apple. Smooth on the palate. Decent.

hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 17, 2009
Cask at Bankers Draft (JDW), Bedford, after the end of the ’Spoons BF ’09. Copper with a white head. Nice toast and marmalade aroma eventually surfaces, but the taste is somehow unsatisfactory: it’s wheaty, grassy and a bit thin with only slight bitterness. What a disappointment from this local and well loved brewery who seem to have missed another chance to impress the wider drinking public.

bobinlondon (1179) - Harrow, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2009
Handpulled cask at JDW Harrow on the Hill. Copper with an off white head. Toffee malt and some caramel. Linited hops but a fairly dry finish. Dull.
