Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 11 March 2014. Poured a slightly hazy amber colour with a medium white head. Malt heavy aroma, with notes of ripe fruit and light copper. Sweet flavours of tropical fruit, caramel with some light grassy hop. Finish was ripe berries, toasted malt and a slight metallic edge.

Live@The Baron. Bright gold capped with white. Metallic brassy aroma with smears of jam, conifer and herb. Juicy lingering biscuit and caramel popcorn base without the hop interest to match; vague lime and rubber; almond maybe. Pleasant.

Cask@the imperial, walsall. Golden amber beer with medium creamy head and excellent lacing. Aroma of malts. Taste is pale malts, a hint of butter, biscuit and some citrus. Creamy soft palate. Looks good, feels good but alas average taste.

jmgreenuk (4988) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - JAN 3, 2014
Cask at The Playhouse, Colchester. Poured a clear light to medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is weak malt. The flavour is medium to weak bitter with a watery malt hop slightly buttery barnyard palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. It’s beers like this that put the Great into Britain! I’m surprised it has so few ratings.

Light amber colour. Restrained aromatic hops nose - US hops in there? Some dry malt, but not a lot of balancing bitterness. Short of bite on the finish. Body is a little thin for a 4.7% beer. Overall, a soft and drinkable beer, but nothing very exciting. Handpump, Lord Moon of the Mall, Whitehall, London SW1.
