Cask at Wetherspoons in Ashford. Golden beer with white creamy head, sweet oranges with hint of herb, some citrus hops. Good rounded creamy beer with acidic orange finish. Good beer of this type

First impressions show a very pale coloured beer, but bright and clear in the glass. Initial aromas are of hay. A very palattable taste that is at first refreshing, giving way to a dry crisp finish, with a lingering bitterness.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Medium gold with a small white head. Citric aroma with a little sweet malt. Smooth, refreshing taste, not quite bitter enough.

From A Bottle.Light gold in colour with a nice head,
good hop aroma,taste is hoppy with some lemon and pepper,long bitter finish.

Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester, 04-08-07 Poured golden with slim white head, crisp and suprisingly dry, bit fruity, quite pleasant.

Cask Conditioned. Pale light golden beer. Originally an autumn beer but now generally more available this is a soft drinking malty, fruity pale ale. A little on the sweet side.

Handpulled cask at JDW Hatch End, Harrow. Light gold with healthy white head. This beer was in the peak of condition and as fresh as they come. Smooth malty base with a dry bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

Cask handpump at The Wellington, Birmingham. Straw coloured with no head. Slight hoppy scent, malty in the mouth with a slight bitterhop aftertaste. Dry.

Cask at the Counting House, Glasgow.
Creamy beer, very smooth, some nice bitterness in the finish. Great? Nay. Good? Yeah. Some nice fruit, apples and pears, in the aftertaste.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2010 Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig & Pen, Northampton. A copper coloured beer with a whitish head. The aroma is fruity with a little toffee. The taste is also pretty fruity with some straw notes and is perhaps over sweet. Score 2.9
