A Mes rate:
Gravicask @ Planet Thanet. My final beer of what was an excellent festival. Decent stout but let down a little by a very slightly watery palate. Other than that it has all the roasty coffee and dark chocolate with a delicate sourness on the finish.

Very dark brown, steady tan head. Sweet berry-like aroma, slightly toasted malty, hints of brewing mash. Smooth, full-bodied, Guinness-like. Roasted malty, with coffeish and bitter finish. Long bitter aftertaste.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Cask@Angleterre, Helsinki) Very dark brown, almost black color with a smallish, but creamy and lasting, lacy head. Roasted-malty, slightly sweet, salty and licoricey aroma. Burned-malty, very licoricey flavor with some rubbery earthiness and a burned, sweet-sourish, quickly fading finish. No bitterness to speak of. Slicky and oily, light to medium-bodied palate with low carbonation. Definitely not bad for a real ale.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Very dark brown with a small off-white head. Faint fruit aroma gives no hint of what is to follow: ashy, roasted coffee malt and a smooth dry finish. Excellent.
