Cask handpull at The Masque Haunt, JDW, London. Very pale gold, lasting white head. Served a bit cold, but in excellent nick, touch of soap, over a nettley, lime juice golden beer. Good citrus lime edge on the finish. Very good in fact. A JHB/Hophead/Brewers Gold wannabe, but more almost more extreme citric acid. Good though, nice fullness and sherbert creaminess, really explosive in mouth.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2011 1) Hinckley Spoons. Lacy, pale and blanketed with a light haze (wheat?). Nose faint pear and apricot, squeeze of citrus, resins, sweaty celery notes from the Goldings. Mellow orange peel-like hop touches, peardrop fruit, shampoo, lingering fresh husky malts, bread, vanilla. Softening wheat or corn, maybe. Pleasant, uncomplicated quencher. 2) Cask handpull, The Malt Shovel, Northampton, 07/05/11. Pale like lime cordial pale with a ring of white. Smells like low cal Irn Bru with a hint of cinnamon. Quiet and washy; plenty of tupperware, wateriness, hint of lime sharpness, Irn Bru, cooked white sugar. Dull and hopless. 535311.
