Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Citric aroma. Sour grapefruit taste, with just a little sweetness and a mid bitter finish. Pretty ordinary golden, though perhaps it has a bit more flavour than most.

First tasted this in Gabriels, Paisley in May 2002. Cask, handpump dispense. Crystal clear pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Strong lemon peel on the nose and thin but refreshing mouthfeel. Good lacing throughout. Pale malts give a juicy tart note of grapefruit and lemon zest. Floral dusty hop resins give a good aftertaste. Citric notes in the dry finish. Typical summer session golden ale.

Cask in the market porter. Alround rating: Pale sweet malts, grassy hop, earthy minerally either from the yeast or hop, but its not very bitter.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Beautifully silk, oiley fresh lime, hop start. Not too sharp, more of a fruit-gum sweetness. Goes a bit malty on the finish, a bit weetabix, but generally this doesn’t spoil things. Beautiful fresh Golden.

(Hand pulled)Yet another pale straw coloured brew from this Shefford brewery. Loose white head, freshly mown hay in the aroma. Fruity and hoppy taste, with a dry bitter finish. A good pint, shame it's seasonal.
