Cask conditioned at The Turf Tavern, Oxford. Amber with no head. This had a slightly dull, mashed grain type flavour, quite sweetish, fruity and not particularly interesting.

Cask Conditioned @ Hole in the Wall, Portsmouth. Sweetish malts with a bit of fruity hop flavour which kept this on an even keel.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Wig & Pen Northampton. A golden coloured with an off-whote head. Some grassy type hops in the aroma. Quite a bitter taste. A little sharp in places but perfectly drinkable.

Cask (handpump) at The Speaker, Westminster. Amber colour. This is indeed a distinctly hoppy beer. Plenty of resinous, oily hop character in the aroma. Excellent orangey hop presence on the palate, but not over-bitter. Smooth and assertive at the same time. Very nice indeed. So nice that I had to have a second even though we were engaged in a twelve pub crawl.
