Cask conditioned at a Spoons. Gold with white head. Quite a thin, light session bitter, malty, biscuity with a touch of caramel. Easy drinking but not in great condition here. Sweetish hoppy finish. It’s ok.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 1, 2011
First tasted this in Babbity Bowser, Glasgow in January 1993. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale copper red in colour with a thin white head. Dusty hops in the short aroma. A thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a juicy note of redcurrant fruit and sweet glycerine. Dusty hops give a dry dusty whack of bitter resins in the long aftertaste. Finish is bitter sweet with dry orange peel notes evident. So so session ale.
