Cask (gravity dispense). Beer #5 at Bedford Beer Festival 2005. Tasting four milds together gave us the opportunity to compare and contrast. The Bartrams was a rich, chocolaty mild. The Fenland was coffee accented and straying into stout territory. The Pint-Sized was a more traditional thin, roasted malt style. This one had the emphasis on fruit. Berry fruit, and plenty of it, to go with the burnt malt character. Deep brown colour, not quite opaque. Dryish mouthfeel, with some sharp notes to the fruit and a hint of bitterness to provide decent grip for a mild.
