Cask conditioned @ JDW, Soton. Grainy with citric and mango aromas. Refreshing soft body, with an acidic wheaty bite and some spiciness in the finish.

Cask @ Market Porter, Borough. Pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Fruity aroma with some malty hints. Sweet malty fruity flavor with some spicy hints. Long sweet malty finish.

Cask at the Wellington Arms, Bedford, a Banks & Taylor house. Golden, slightly hazy beer. Some sweetness in the aroma. The taste didn’t really do it for me. There was a refreshing sharpness on the palate and some faint spicy fruits, but I thought it was watery and lacking body.

Cask Handpump at the Kelham Island Tavern, Sheffield 15/09/2003 Golden and slightly hazy. Sharp on the palate with a slightly dry wheaty finish.

Hand pulled at the Briar Rose (JDW), Birmingham. Splendid British wheat beer. Plenty of mildly acidic fruit flavours (orange, lemon) a little grainy fondant taste too. Pale yellow haze, with a sweet aroma. Very well balanced, gentle and refreshing, very drinkable.
