A Mes rate: Cask from ’Spoons @ Baker Street. Nice amber colour but with no head at all. Mellow grapefruit aroma. Hoppy flavour with some dusty tobacco and a long citric finish.

Cask handpull at Penderels Oak, JDW, Holborn. Copper colour with thin lasting white head. Coppery, some red berry fruit. Lacks malt fullness. Certainly has fruity presence. Bit over teh top. Earthy bitter and syrupy fruit. It’s a fruity bitter.

Cask @ Standing order (JDW), Soton. Full fruity malts in a creamy body with a mild hoppy finish. Not really my thing but pleasant enough.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes. Amber with a small white head. Served at the right temperature but with too much fizz. Pleasant fruit and hop aroma. Ashy taste with the merest hint of sweetness and a mid bitter finish. It’s all right, but it’s not the best of B & T.
