On tap at Klasterni senk, Brevnov, Praha. Cloudy golden-amber colour with creamy head. Aroma malts, bananas, herbs, also citruses, but very very slightly. Taste is malty sweet with sweeter-fruity tones. I can feel banana there. Some sour fruits and yeast there. Hoppy end is not very strong. I like this beer much, but it’s not a typical IPA.

Bottle. Amber color with big head. Aroma of tropical fruits with some caramel notes. Taste is medium bitter, not very hoppy, some malt base, mild. Finish is not very long. Not bad IPA with some nuances.

Dimmig bärnstensfärgad öl med ett gulvitt skum. Doften är framförallt malt och karamell med inslag av citrus. I smaken tillkommer inslag av hö och bröd.

Has a soft aroma of hops, okay yellowish body. It drinks okay as an IPA but is soft and not nearly as complex as it could be.

25/VII/15 - 75cl swing top bottle from a trade @ Trillium tasting, home - BB: 10/VIII/15 (2015-982) Thanks to motelpogo for the trade!

Clear orange beer, huge yellow creamy head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit rubbery, band-aid, malty, sweet, caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet malty start, quite some caramel, hay, pretty bitter, some melons. Aftertaste: bit cheesy, floral notes, fruity, grassy, pretty bitter, some banana. A bit a class of flavours and no more tropical notes. Age?

Czech IPA (a new craft beer culture is apparently growing on top of the traditional Czech lagers there), thanks to tderoeck. Lacing, snow white, stable head and hazy, deep orange golden colour. Aroma a bit disturbed by H2S (sewer water) at first, but this fades away after a while; otherwise toast, flowers, white pepper, orange, hazelnuts. Restrained fruity onset, orange peel accent, very nutty, caramelly maltiness, lightly toasted, with an earthy, peppery, floral hop bitterness ending the palate, not citrussy as in an American style IPA, but more in a gentle ’Euro hops’ way, bittering but not harshly so. Clearly an English style IPA, and not a bad one at that.
