3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, from trade with dedollewaitor. It pours a black body under a light tan head leaving curtains. Coffee, toast, licorice, some sourness and a touch of bonfire in the aroma. Salty licorice, roasted malts, toast and some sour notes in the flavor. Full body, dry and softly carbonated. Burnt finish. A tasteful and pleasant one, tasteful and intense. 131129

Bottle at Bruce’s. It pours deep brown-black with a medium light tan head. The nose is earth, wood, toast, vanilla, marshmallow, toffee and green apple. The taste is tart, sour lemon, sherbet. lactic and earth with a sour finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Looks and smells pretty good, but is clearly infected.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured deep dark brown with a healthy beige head. Aroma of sweet berries, chocolate and coffee. Medium body, flavour is very sharp, this beer needs a lot more aging, probably barrelling, then it might be a lot better. Not very balanced.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle cheers to Bruce. Damn fine looking stout! Downhill from there though. An odd, very tangy and funky blood orange kind of nose. Touch of chocolate coming through. Taste is tangy as all shit. Lemon, orange, funk, lemon morange, dough. Weird. Sour stout? Just weird

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - thanks to Bruce. Pours oily black with a bubbly beige head. The nose holds far, burnt cocoa, burnt marshmallows. Light sweet flavor with strong sourness, some charred malts, earth, dry chocolate. Medium bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Tangy finish, lots of sour dark malts, minerals, burnt toast, dry smoke, charred toast. Seems a little out of shape but still somewhat novel.
