Delším zráním na chladném a tmavém místě pivo získává vůni a chuť kvalitní hořké čokolády, která tolik chutnala Kateřině Veliké.

Bottle. Pours super-dark black color with thin dark brown head. Aroma is wood, rust, chocolate plus a bit of hops. Taste is chocolate, wood, roast, hops, flowers (roses). No sign of sweetness, quite bitter. Very dry aftertaste. Texture is very oily, consistency is quite thick. Carbonation is low. Very special beer, but probably not for everyone. Truly deserves the "imperial" in its name.

Bottle @ Pivovarsky Klub, Prague. Pitch black, thick and with a beige-brown foamy head. Roasted malty stout with dark chocolate, espresso, bitter hops, light red fruitiness. Soft mouthfeel, dry finish. Low carbonation, firm body. Very decent RIS.

Poured from a bottle dated 16.12.2014. A thick tarry liquid with rarified head. Aroma of dark chocolate and English Christmas pudding! Delightful taste of well cooked caramel. An enjoyable experience and thanks to the kind person who offered it.

(Bottle, Pivovarsky Klub, Prague, 19 July 2014) Black colour with brief, brown head. Malty, roasted nose with black coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, tobacco and hints of tar. Malty, roasted taste with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice and a bitter-sweet finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Well made and tasty imperial stout. Very nice.

Pours petrol color with a very tan head like a espresso coffee. Aroma is quite metallic, slightly notes of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Flavor is quite soar and bitter notes of ashes. Full body with low carbonation and a weird finish. I didn’t expect that for a Russian Imperial Stout. The same it was for the Porter.

Bottle dated 6.8.2014. Aroma of burnt malts, dark chocolate, molasses, coffee, hops. Flavour is quite roasty, medium sweetness, with some bitterness in the finish. First Czech RIS I’ve had and it’s no disappointment.

swingtop bottle. rich shade of almost black with almost no head, suggesting perhaps the bottle wasn’t well sealed. aroma of cocoa powder and vanilla; strange olive brine saltiness, light caramel. will have to find a fresh bottle of this as i’m sure it wasn’t meant to taste like this example
