(swing top bottle, 75cl) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Herbal, slightly flowery and fruity (mango, passion fruit) hoppy aroma, backed by mildly bready cara-malt. Moderately bitter flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Dry, mildly bready cara-malty base with fruity and herbal hoppy notes; dry and bitter finish with mildly exotically fruity hoppy notes. Nice interpretation of an IPA. 19.VIII.12

Orange color with 1 finger white head. Aroma of pine, bread, leaves. Taste is light sweet, light bitter...mmm not that good. Light body, thin texture, soft carbonation. I was expecting more.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2012 On tap at Nota Bene. Dark amber with a lasting off white head. Aroma has some citrus hops, but unfortunately covered in diacetyl. Dryish malty and citrus hoppy flavour. 3.0 rating

Bottled: Same weak hop aroma with diacetyl. The flavour works a little better with some malt and citrus hops. Quite bitter.

ElDesmadre (934) - Mikołów, POLAND - NOV 28, 2012
Draught at Nota Bene, Prague. Dark amber with a creamy head. Nice aroma - caramel, slight diacetyl, some pine and strong tropical fruit notes - peach, passion fruit and citrus. Sweet malty body and a very strong yet abruptly fading bitterness. Tropical hoppy flavour, disappointingly short, buttery finish. Very full body and that means that this beer is heavy, too heavy in fact, a bit difficult to drink. And I mean elephant-heavy. Brevnov? Perhaps a more adequate name would be Brezhnev. Still very good but needs some improvement to compete with the big boys.

Quack-Duck (6811) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 28, 2012
bottle from Kulovy Blesk Praha. Hazy amber colour, large and creamy off-white head. Lovely hop aroma with trpical fruit. Solid and intensive malty base with an obvious "Czech" malt profile, combined with very fruity hops, lots of tropical fruit and resiny hints. An IPA with a Czech touch, a very nice interpretation of the style - not a copy of an American IPA but clearly with its very own character.

Bottle, purchased at slunce ve skle 2012 and shared with my old buddy mowbeer. Good to look at - rusty amber with a large and persistent off-beige head; aroma of toffee apple and red berry, slightly roasty and syrupy which is a bit surprising for an IPA (although it is polotmavy, I suppose); medium bitterness with hints of caramel, nettle and blackberry. A curious concept of a cross between a Vienna and an IPA and not entirely without merit

Vynikající pivo s jemnou chutí, hustou pěnou. Velmi hořké, přesně jak se na IPA sluší a patří. Hned bych dal znovu. Lahváč 0,7 z pivoňky.

Draught. Pours a medium straw, with a white head. Hoppy, clean aroma, spruce, apricot, caramel. Off-dry, medium body, medium to high bitterness, creamy CO2. Hoppy, resiny taste, malt, apricot, grapefruit, slightly phenolic, alcohol get a little bit burning. (2012-09-13)
