2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle bought in Germany, labeled as Breznak Berstein 5.1%abv. Very dark amber colour, hazy, medium tanned head, retained some lacing. Had an initial malty aroma which gave way to Saaz. Tasted malty and slightly Saazy. Finish was long and roasted. Moderate carbonation, body was slightly thick, texture sticky. Basically this was normal Breznak with some colouring/sweetner addded, highly forgetable.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Sweet aroma. Starts malty and sweet, almost like sugar. Finish with more hoppy notes, a bit more balanced. But all in all too sweet for me.

08/03 It poured brown body with medium sized head. Caramel aroma, also grainy and pretty boring for that. Caramel flavor, slightly roasted malty like coffee, but I found also some unpleasant metallicity in it. Medium body with caramel grainy metallic finish. Not really good beer, actually I’m bothered with some unpleasant notes in it. Crappy Vienna.
