UPDATED: MAY 15, 2009 Bottle. Labeled Alt Böhmisch Bernstein. ABV 4,8 %Pours clear dark amber with a moderate off-white creamy head. Strong dark malty aroma. caramel. Semi sweet in the taste department, gentle velvety mouthfeel, dark malt in the front seat, not allowing the fine hops to come fully through, leaving a sweet aftertaste as well.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 heavy (1490) - Split, CROATIA - MAR 30, 2010
08/03 It poured brown body with medium sized head. Caramel aroma, also grainy and pretty boring for that. Caramel flavor, slightly roasted malty like coffee, but I found also some unpleasant metallicity in it. Medium body with caramel grainy metallic finish. Not really good beer, actually I’m bothered with some unpleasant notes in it. Crappy Vienna.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 yngwie (9175) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 23, 2008
Bottle. Looking nice in the glass, with a clear amber body and a nice, medium-sized off-white head leaving lacings. I’m not so impressed with the aroma. It’s not bad, more boring, there’s caramel-sweetness, there’s some fruity notes, and there’s also a touch of cooked vegetables. The flavor is better though, lacking the veggies. Malty-sweet, with caramel, some bready flavors, and a nice hoppy fruityness. A bit low on bitterness maybe. The mouthfeel is a bit sticky too, and of medium fullness. The bitterness is more evident in the finish than it was initially, and is followed by bready malts and caramel sweetness. Overall, a quite drinkable beer, but it doesn’t stand out at all. (080522)

Bottle (Čest Quack-Duckovi !): Amber coloured, lacy and slowly collapsing off-white head; caramell and burnt malt in the nose; mainly sweet (caramelly) flavour, light to medium bodied; becomes drier and more bitter in the caramelly-hoppy finish. Good and well rounded.........
