Bottled at Cafe Frape in Mestreech,, Color is deep mahagony reddish brown. LIke Cola. Brown head, roasted nose. Lacing Aroma is soft hops, buned caramel. Flavour is lightly roasted malts,with proper bitter aftertaste. It could use some more body.

On tap in Hrensko, Czech Republic. Comes deep brown,almost black as coke, with a 2 " creamy off-white head. Strong malty aroma. Taste is bitter chocolate, roasted coffee, with a nice bitter aftertaste.

Bottled. Deep rubyish brown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is nutty, a bit sugary, mild burnt notes as well. Flavour is quite sugary sweet along with mild wood and caramel malts. Rather sweet, and also a semi-sticky palate.

Bottled@Kahdet Kasvot, Tampere. Deep ruby colour, brown head. Aroma is hops, caramel and some mild yeastyness. Flavour is roasted malts, some ashes and mildly wooden notes.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2009 It is black with a red hue and a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, licorice, rye bread and light syrup. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of licorice, roasted malt, caramel, syrup and rye bread. It is truly nice.

Bottle, 3.8% as Březňák Schwarzbier. Almost black colour. Small light brown head. Nicely roasted flavour, quite flavourful. No bitterness to speak of. Slightly creamy, slightly sweet. Thin mouthfeel, not surprisingly.
