COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A secret weapon of Drinks Union, a beer of delicious taste, clear smell and typical colour. The drinker will be surprised by its pleasant taste, less sweet than with other dark beers. The dark Breznak won the most prestigious beer contest - Golden Cup PIVEX ´98.

Fazit: Nur "Trinkbar". Test vom 24.3.2009, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,7,6,8,11,7 - 7,50

Big frothy tan head, dark brown body. Creamy, roasted rye bread, dark hops, earthy. Easily drinkable but not overly flavourful. Light carbonation. Clearly made for session drinking and in that respect it does well, giving enough aroma and a mild access alcoholic, pleasant experience. As a beer geek there’s not much to find though. Decent for sure. (50cl bottle at Kafe België)

Single bottle purchased from a Netto Market in Altenberg, Germany on 11/30/2011. Colour: Dark brown or slightly black with medium stable head. Nose: Lots of cocoa powder and caramel, and some campfire smoke. All of these not overpowering though. Taste: Medium sweet, light bitter, medium-light sour. Caramel again present but also a warming vanilla trace. Weak coffee is evident but the smoke has disapeared. Drinkable.

Half liter bottle stating Breznak Schwarzbier on the label. It pours amber mahogany with tan head. The aroma offers up yummy dark roasted malts, dark roasted coffee beans and some lightly scorched toffee. The taste is just as flavorful as the aromatics have suggested. I get fully dark roasted malts mixing with a blend of black strap molasses, toffee and dark roasted coffee. I’m diggin’ this little 3.8% ABV brew. It leaves a mix of toffee and dark roasted coffee lingering deep into the after taste.
