ogivlado (2381), Zagreb, Croatia Oct 5, 2008 Draught at the brewpub.
Light hazy golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, pleasant hoppy and mild buttery nose. Malty, bitter hoppy and light spicy taste with notes of herbs. Bitter finish and long lasting hoppy aftertaste. Is this ESL... I don’t think so. First, and how later turned out, the best of eight beers I’ve tried in Prague on my recent visit. Svesse (1811), Hässelby, Sweden Aug 2, 2008 (Draught at Pivovar Bašta, Prague, 21 July 2008) Brass colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with toffee and spicy hops. Malty, nutty taste with notes of caramel, toffee and spicy hops. Fairly sweet with notes of alcohol shining through. Not in perfect balance, but decent enough. pivnizub (3876), Porúří, Germany Jul 27, 2008 Draught at the brewpub. Deep golden, a bit unclear, medium sized lacy white head, sweet pale malt with traces of toasted malt plus not hidden traces of hops, solid sweet and bitter flavour, medium bodied, lingering sweet and aromatic hoppy finish. Good stuff...... TBone (5115), Pori, Finland Jul 17, 2008 Draught@brewpub
