Draught: Poured a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is banana, vinegar, and wheat. Taste is bitter banana and a soft yeast bread dough.

Cloudy blond color. The aroma mixes banana and light spices. Thin mouthfeel, quite simple flavor. Ordinary.

Very, very pale yellow. Opaque and minimally covered by a fading white foam. While the wheat is kind of well extracted, I must say that it’s pretty much the only favour I manage to get out of the beer. Very timid yeastiness, but a bit tart. Slightly acetic in its strong acidity. Short finish. Very light bodied. Lacklustre.

My Bottom Line:
Forgettable milky bananas sift into this light-bodied Weizen, as juicy and watery lemongrass spiciness increases drinkability. This is not a bad example of the style, but it is inherently meager.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thin ring of foam surrounds the whitish yellow.
-A subtle herbal spiciness swims within.
-Carbonation is prickly, but relaxes after breathing a few minutes.
-The body is thin and its dry cereals not chewy enough to create interest.

Bottle at the Flaveurs Bières et Caprices festival.

fonefan (24928) - VestJylland, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2007
Draught @ Brew Pub, Fermento, Milan, Italy. Unclear medium yellow color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, gum. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (061107)

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2007 Hazy orange, small rim. Orange zeste, citrus, coriander, wheat and some dough-smell in the nose. Dry grains taste with citrus component, but not much more. Astringent MF, dry, but with a titillating backthroat feeling. Light to medium bodied. Bit light, poor beer, not very interesting. Was: 5/4/5/3/9
New rating, 2007, draught Hazy yellow-greenish beer with huge snow-white head, some lace. Cloves, and again sulphurr in the nose, and something like wet moss. Sweet weizen, banana, clove flavours. Sweetness is very present, despite the subzero serving temperature. Also something salty-fishy, but not in balance. Light, wheat slickness. Rather poor, disappointing Weizen.

Dorqui (1552) - Brescia, ITALY - JAN 22, 2005
UPDATED: SEP 13, 2007 Draught at the brewpub.
Compact and adherent foam. Good persistence. Typical wheat’s beer. Yellow color clearly, pale. Light, little intense scent. It would seem a weiss but the end is typical of one witbier. Refreshing
