Not my thing. Aroma and taste is big on raspberries - but artificial like a nasty soft drink. Taste has sourness, but also tastes a bit oily. Peculiar. Bit of a novelty for me. Wouldnít go for it again.

June 26, 2015. Bottle, best before september 3, 2016.
Clear brownish red with a medium dense off-white head, Aroma is light tart and sweet raspberries, cherry candy, light citrus notes and a slight note of cough syrup. Taste is medium sweet raspberries and cherries with a very light tartness. Finish is light tart, sweet berries, with a slightly dry, almost astringent note. Light to medium bodied, average small bubble carbonation.

The beer is a brownish burgundy color. The head is brownish pink and smallish, maybe a finger or so in height after a normal pour. Thereís some lacing and retention is ok. The aroma is fairly pleasant. Itís very jammy. Thereís a relatively mild cough syrup note, but it doesnít hurt the overall smell too much. Some caramel malt flavor in the background. Mostly big jammy raspberry, a bit sweet but not bad. The taste is odd and not good. Thereís a sweet raspberry juice flavor with nowhere near enough tartness. Simple sweetness, verging on splenda simplicity. Out of place woody bitterness. Mild caramel. More of that medicinal flavor. Pretty sweet. Itís fruity but thereís no depth or fullness to the fruit flavor. Not great. Pretty much no pucker. Carbonation is lower than expected. Itís a bit sticky. Aftertaste shows a bit of raspberry jam but also bleh malty sweetness. Iím not a fan.

Bottle from Sainsbury. Pours reddish brown with a fairly sizeable pinkish tan head. Aroma is overwhelmingly berries, a bit of dough and a hint of vanilla. Sweet-sour taste, incredibly fruity. Lovely sourish tangy hit at the end. I like the amount of carbonation. Quite tasty.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is super jammy with a ton of raspberry character and a bit of a raspberry jello note. Light malt notes, but the aroma is pretty one dimensional towards the fruit. Pours a dark purple red with some light brown hues and a medium sized, fairly thick, slightly pink head that slowly recedes to a thin film that lingers. Flavor is fairly sweet with a light tartness. Lots of sweet raspberry notes with a medium light bitterness. Some raspberry seed notes. A hint of malt notes. Some lingering raspberry notes. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency from the seeds and low alcohol warmth. Overall, super fruity but fairly one dimensional. Too sweet for my preferences too, but doesnít finish very sticky.

Pours out in a hazy ruby colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of raspberry syrup and ripe berries. Taste of mild but fresh raspberries, and thatís pretty much it. Perfect beer for a hot summerís day, but you could easily drink some raspberry juice instead.

Sweet and sour raspberry beer. Papery bottle wrap gives a good impression but the beer is indifferent from other fruit beers.

Spontaneous purchase from Jšrve Selver in Tallinn (375 ml / Ä 4.09). Too bad about so much paper going to waste... Anyway, BB in 2016. It pours a murky brownish red with a nice ruby hue. Small bubbles rising still after a while. The headís very light beige (not even a hint of pink) and not very big but retains and laces nicely. The nose is rather enjoyable with home-made raspberry jam with very little tartness, but somehow feels stale and flat and kind of artificial. Taste is quite tart and very sugary. Nice raspberry flavour. Mediumish body - slightly watery even - with modest carbonation. Finishes stale. An easy-drinker, Iím quite fond of this despite some of the negative aspects.

Bottle. Aroma strong raspberry, sourish. Hazy raspberry pinkish-purplish colour. Taste is nicely balanced between sweet and sour. Nice clean fruity raspberry flavour. Enormously drinkable. Very good.
